It all happens in Norway! Broodstock and fryplant is on the Reipholmen in Rørvik in Nord-Trøndelag county, in the middle of Norway. Then the fish is moved to further growth at Imsland and Helland in Vindafjorden in Rogaland County in southwestern Norway. The seafarms where the fish grow up during five years are in Vassvik and Kjeurda in Hjelmeland in Ryfylke near Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. Further processing, sales and administration are at Hundsnes in Hjelmeland. This photo is from Kjeurda. |
For the first time in Bocuse d’Or history, a branded fish will play a leading role: our own Sterling White Halibut. Our halibut is no newcomer to the competition though; Marine Harvest supplied halibut to the Bocuse d’Or 2007 under the generic brand Norwegian White Halibut in co-operation with the Norwegian Export Council.
