Food safety

Food safety:

It is a challenging job to sea farm Sterling™ White Halibut, because this fish is very different from other species. Still, we can draw on our broad sea farm experience, and have used well tested work methods from our work with salmon. The experience and expertise from our research staff, marine biologists and dedicated people, is a guarantee for first class and safe products of the highest quality.

The Sterling™ White Halibut can be tracked all life. Our system is monitoring the life span from egg to grown fish, and in the whole process we register information about feed, classification, weight, health conditions and fish deaths.

We discover risks tied to food safety and handle potential dangers in every steps of production, all the way to the fish is delivered. In this way we secure that we can track everything that happens with the Sterling™ White Halibut, and this contribute to food safety all through the value chain.

We are certified in ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 for the whole value chain. The processing plant is certified according to BRC.
